                             SIXTH DAY PARAYANAM  

                                       TUESDAY

DAKSHINA:

There are so many faithful devotees for SAI NATHA.but, they are people who don't believe him and blame him as conspicuous person and say that he acts like saint and receive lots of money in the form of DAKSHIN.First off all we have to clear some people doubts regarding this dakshin and then start today paryanam.He may collect lacks of rupees in the form of dakshin.but, we should know two things. Why he was collecting the money? and what is he doing with that money?He may have so much money but the dress he wore is always the same,the kafni(Knee length one piece robe) and a cloth cap.He never used any expensive things.He has only the dakshin received from his devotees but, never hoped and wished for expensive life style.The money collected through his devotees only few amount he used to spend for chillum and log sticks to lit Dhuni and remaining he used to give to his devotees based on their situations which varies from 1 rs to 50 rs.Earlier day BHAI JI BHAI used to serve lunch to BABA by searching him in the forest.To show the gratitude on her he used to help her son TATYA PATEL by giving him 1 rs for 25 days. BADE BHAI and the ABDUL who cleans and sweeps Masjid also are paid with some amount of money.but, Many people by seeing the flags on the Masjid misinterpret SAI NATHA. They think that SAI NATHA has palanquin,chariot,crown and other things are there with the devotees money only. In truth BABA doesn't like all those expensive items.He never rode on the horse or chariot.Some of his devotees like MAHALSAPATI and RADHA KRISHNA MAI to show the love devotion on him bought all the items and forces him to accept.Other wise BABA never likes all those lavish things.In his words " My dear devotees I don't like lavish life with horse, chariot etc. Why should I use them? I am happy with my kafni , small cloth cap and chillum.If one of my devotee practice yoga, I ll be happy !".

ARGUMENT ABOUT DAKSHINA:

If we approach SADDGURU means we should live the rest of the life as SAINT.But, If everyone in the world are saints the birth cycle will come to an end. So some live as SADDGURU and remaining continue their routine lives.A person can be only happy if he is satisfied with what he has and distract his mind from worldly pleasure, so to check thoughts of his devotees SADDGURU SAI NATHA used to put exam to his devotees in two ways. 1. Money as dakshin 2. To check whether he lost interest on the money or not.Many people don't get hands to give money! BABA said " I always ask dakshin with purpose only.I ll ask only certain people.If any one gives me 1 rs I ll give them 10 rs". BABA used to serve lunch to poor people with the money which he received in the form of dakshina.

SAI NATHA OFFERING FOOD TO POOR

Earlier days SAINATHA  used to visit some houses in SHIRDI and take food and bless the people.Later the devotees in SHIRDI and residing village itself started to bring food of different varieties to the Masjid.BABA puts all the food in a container,offer the food as prasadam to GOD.After Giving some food to the people who are waiting outside than they used to  serve the food to all the devotees in the Masjid. Devotees sit in a row to the left and right side of SAI NATHA. NIMONKAR,NANASAHEB,SHYAM serve food to the devotees.BABA said " whoever it may be when they are hungry we should serve lunch to them.We should not have partiality". Even SAINATHA cooks at times and served his devotees.He cooked rice,sweet pongal,pulao etc. He himself went to market bring all the ingredients,clean them and prepare masala on his own only. In the empty place he used to keep the stove and two big containers. To check whether the rice is boiled or not he used to keep the hand inside the boiling rice but, his hand was never burnt.The recipes tasted good and SAINATHA used to take lot of care to make them tasty.He only serves the food also to his devotees.

Some may get doubt . " BABA is a vegetarian or  non vegetarian?". That difference of food habit is for our ordinary people only but not in the case of SADGURU SAINATH.For him the mud and gold are the same and he has that maturity.The person lived in hut  and a king in a castle at the end goes to graveyard only,no one stays like that only. Habits are for us but not for saints and sadgurus. but, he never said we must eat only vegetarian food. He said follow your food habits and traditions based on your ancestors.He used to serve food based on their habits.


One day a devotee asked BABA " When we intend to serve or donate in any form they are some ethics to be followed.Than while serving food to others what is the basic necessity we have to keep in mind?".BABA replied " In all the donations there is no limit but, in food serving only there is limit. When a person intended to serve food he must have the capability to serve and if the person is hungry only he can serve him otherwise he cannot serve him know, so In serving or donating food to others hunger is the only main necessity.If he is not hungry we cannot serve him. so both of them need necessity of hunger only and it has limit.That why they say among all the donations of money,education,clothes etc food is only the superior.

SAI NATHA VISIT TO HEMADPANT  HOUSE IS A MIRACULOUS INCIDENT

On holy festival HEMADPANT got a dream of SAI NATHA came and " He said  I'll come to your house.We all can have lunch". As HEMADPANT is aware of all his miracles he shared the dream with his wife but she said " why does SAI leave SHIRDI and come to our house on festival day?".Then he said " He may not come but he'll send some other on behalf of him. I have faith on him and the dream" she felt little happy with his words and cooked food for one more person also. Everyone sat for the lunch, Its 12:00 They put one more place for SAI NATHA and waited for someone to come.  They waited for some time but as nobody came, they started to have lunch and at that time ALI AHMED and MOULA MUZAFFAR knocked the door and said " Take your item and keep it with you", and left. When HEMADPANT opened the paper, he saw a photo frame of SAI NATHA,He felt so happy seeing the photo and remembered SAI NATHA words in his dream. He worshipped him with the mantras offered the food to the photo frame and everyone ate their lunch.

Now we should know how the photo frame was sent to HEMADPANT.ALI AHMED is devotional person so in his house which is in BANDRA has all the photo frames of saints living at that time and they are TAJUDDIN BABA, MAULANA BABA, MOHAMMED HUSSAIN,ABDUL RAHMAN AND SAI BABA and he used to worship all of the saints.Meanwhile he got a infection to his leg so he went to MUMBAI for surgery and he stayed in his brother in law NOORU MOHAMED PEER BHAI house. So his house in BANDRA was closed.Due to some reason NOORU lost faith towards saints so he advised ALI " To take away all the photos of saints in his house and throw in the sea then your infection will reduce". ALI out of frustration obeyed his brother in law words and ordered his manger in BANDRA to take away all the photo frames and leave somewhere. Manger did the same.

Two months later ALI went to his BANDRA house. When he went inside he noticed that SAI NATHA photo frame was hanging on the wall. He told his manger to remove all the photos but SAI BABA photo was left and it was looking like new one though the house was not cleaned for 3 months.He was surprised and thought that SAI BABA was great  He thought to do something with  photo frame ,because if his brother in law NOORU comes he will throw away and he don't want that to happen so he thought for a while, then he remembered HEMADPANT devotee of SAI NATHA and decided to give photo frame to him .BABA informed HEMADPANT that he ll come in the form of photo on that day and its a miracle and amazing incident.

 ARROGANCE OF NANASAHEB IS DETACHED BY SAINATHA

BABA forgives any bad traits of a character in his devotees but, even the divine and sadguru cannot accept if there devotees have arrogant nature. but, SRI SAINATHA is a kind and loving SADGURU and he can remove the arrogance without hurting them.

NANA SAHEB has read all the mythological and devotional books like RAMAYANA, BHAGAVAD GITA etc.so he was little proud regarding this that he know everything in BHAGAVAD GITA but never showed near BABA but innerside he always felt proud.BABA waited for the time to remove the arrogance and that time came and both of them were alone in the Masjid. NANA while massaging the feet of SAI BABA he was murmuring to himself.BABA asked him what he was murmuring?.NANA worships BABA but he always thinks BABA doesn't have much knowledge on the devotional books so he replied recklessly saying " some sloka in BHAGAVAD GITA".But,BABA demanded him to recite the sloka then he read the sloka. 

                    " తద్విద్ది  ప్రణిపాతనే   పరిప్రశ్నేన  సేవయా 

                      ఉప దేక్ష్యoతి తే జ్ఞానం  జ్ఞానిన స్తత్వదర్శిన ః "

BABA : What does  పరిప్రశ్నేన means?

NANA: It means questioning

BABA: what does ప్రశ్నేన means?

NANA: It also means questioning only 

BABA: If both words means the same then why they added suffix to the  ప్రశ్నేన  

NANA: he stammered said I don't know the meaning of పరిప్రశ్నేన 

BABA: Leave it. SHRIKRISHNA is itself has wisdom and was sadguru they why he told ARJUNA to pray,worship and question sadguru?

NANA:He was surprised and said " Its true he can tell ARJUNA to worship him only know!".

BABA: He smiled and said " I became sadguru somehow  You read so many devotional books and have full knowledge regarding the slokas so clear my doubts regarding this sloka".
Hearing the words the pride feeling inside NANA was removed and he realized his mistake and pleaded BABA to forgive him.BABA cleared the doubts on sloka and said " NANA ! arrogance is cause for all the destruction's. It will spoil our good thoughts and make us do wrong things.whoever is humble will be successful. knowledge with arrogance is destructive and harms us only". 

WONDERS OF SAI NATHA- SEEDLESS GRAPES

KAKA MAHAJANI devotee of SAI NATHA works with a person DAKAR  He heard about BABA miracles and wonders told by KAKA,So he thought to watch a miracle of SAINATHA and he came to SHIRDI along with KAKA to worship SAI NATHA.When he reached SHIRDI he started asking everyone out of curiosity and eagerness " Any miracles happened?".Everyone replied with their experiences.They both went to Masjid, KAKA prayed SAINATHA and offered grapes. On the order of BABA grapes were distributed in the Masjid and DAKAR was among them,but he doesn't like to eat grapes as they were not washed properly and he has doubt after eating where should he throw the seeds?. He ate because it was SAI NATHA order, he put those seeds in his pocket and was irritated " SAINATHA was forcing me to do things which i don't like". Sensing the words of him ,BABA gave some more grapes to him and asked him to eat.He holded them but he was not eating but, BABA forced him so he ate with dislike. Wonder!! They were no seeds in the grapes he was amazed and enquired others whether they are having seeds are not, they replied they have seeds in their grapes. BABA looked at DAKAR and the looks were telling him " You wanted to see Miracle know.. You saw ?!". He felt so happy and  worshipped him.

TWO GOA PERSONS AND THEIR VOWS

One day two persons came from Goa to worship SAINATHA.BABA asked one person to offer him with 15 rs.Meanwhile other person offered BABA with 35 rs but SAINATHA rejected.Everyone asked BABA seeing this and he explained about both their vows " First person suffered from poverty.He made a vow that if he gets a job he will offer his first month salary to his favorite GOD that is 15rs. Now his salary was 700rs,but he didn't offer his 15rs and he forgot and now i asked him to offer 15rs which will complete his vow".The person who gave 15rs was surprised when he heard the BABA words and prayed him with more devotion and told them that BABA told about his vow only. He made a vow to SHRI DATTATREYA and forgot!

BABA told about the 2nd person vow in his words " A house owner gave me shelter in his house.While I was sleeping he robbed 30 thousand rupees. I was so worried and stopped eating food after I lost the money.Than a saint came to me , advised to pray another saint , gave his address and told me to make vow that I will not eat food until i found my money. I did the same and I got my money. Later I travelled in ship reached the shore and boarded the train and came to SHIRDI  SHYAM serve lunch to both the persons in your house."

SHYAM took them to his house on BABA order.After the lunch was finished 2nd person spoke " My cook only robbed my money.As BABA told one saint advised me to  make a vow to SAINATHA in SHIRIDI I made a vow that I will not eat food unless I found my money, visit SHIRDI and worship SAINATHA.I found my money but i forgot about the vow.Later SHRI SAINATHA blessed me in my dream.I remembered my vow and came to SHIRDI on ship and train.I wonder how does BABA knew my story?I made a vow not to eat food but my friend made a vow to offer money that is the reason BABA accepted his offering of money and rejected mine". Hearing the words SHYAM and others felt happy and prayed BABA again with devotion.

 SELF CONTROL IS GOOD  TRAIT

One day a Muslim family came to Masjid to pray SAINATHA. All the ladies were having burkas but one girl removed the burka and prayed BABA.At that NANASAHEB was there and he was attracted towards her.He longed her to see her again and again.Muslim family left after SAINATHA blessed them.Later BABA said " NANA why are you so curious and eager.let your eyes see the beauty only.GOD gave the eyes to see and feel the beauty.control your thoughts and keep control of your mind,it will do good to you".NANA regretted for what he did.Nobody understood why BABA spoke like that.BABA always keeps his devotees faults and mistakes as a secret because he is kind and lovable and all the people who read and listen BABA stories will be blessed and are lucky.

HONESTY IS A GOOD TRAIT-SAINATHA ADVICE

SHRI VASUDEVANAND SARASWATI ( TEMBA) so called saint lived in RAJAHMUNDRY, an advocate named PANDARI went to worship him.He told him that he is going to SHIRDI to worship SAINATHA,then the saint gave him a coconut to him and asked him to hand over to BABA. PANDARI started to SHIRDI with his friends. One morning, they reached MANMAD they felt hungry and made poha but since it was spicy they added coconut to it,unfortunately the coconut used by them was the one that TEMBA saint gave him. PANDARI felt so scared thinking what would BABA say if he comes to know this.He went to Masjid prayed him. BABA asked " where is the coconut given by my brother?, give me". PANDARI didn't say anything and  said I ll give another 100 coconuts instead of that but BABA said " 1000 coconuts also doesn't value the one given by my brother I want that only". PANDARI cried and told the truth that coconut was used by them. BABA saw him crying and said " You are so innocent.It was destined like that and it happened.I just tested whether you'll tell truth or not.I m happy that you are honest be happy".SAINATHA is so kind and lovable to his devotees in all the ways. I wish SAINATHA blessings will be there on us always.

VOWS 

Generally we all have habit of making vow to GOD when we are in problems,forget about the vow after the problem is solved. SHRI VENKATESWARA SWAMY is so determined that we should fulfill the vow once made and if we forgot also he make us remember and fulfil it,we are all aware of this.Even SAINATHA is also like SHRI VENKATESWARA SWAMY so determined to fulfil his vows.He said " If you ask me to help I will help you in all possible ways.Then why you make vows? Did I ever ask to make a vow?.If you ask me and wait with patience I ll help and solve your problems.But if you make a vow and not fulfil it means you did a fault and it will give punishment to you later". But SAINATHA never allowed his devotees to get punished, somehow he makes them fulfil their vows to him and save them without having sins in their lives. Here a small incident is narrated as a example

SHRI KULKARNI is a SAINATHA devotee but he never saw him directly and worshipped him.Daily he used to worship photo of SAINATHA given by BABASAHEBBATE.One day on office work he went to "BHAVANDI".After he left a saint came to his house.His wife asked " Are you SHIRDI SAI BABA?" but, saint said " No. I m the one who helps LORD and asked for dakshina".She gave 1rs.saint gave her vibuthi blessed her and left.

 Meanwhile while KULKARNI is in BHAVANDI his horse felt sick so he returned home.He came to know what happened and said " If i were in the house I will give 10rs".He searched for the saint but he didn't find.In the evening he went to a paint exhibition with his friend.In the exhibition, one saint came near him and asked dakshina.He gave 1rs.Saint looked and said " This is not enough for me".So he gave 2rs,Than also saint asked him then he took 3rs from his friend and gave him,saint told it was not enough.So he invited him to his house and gave 3rs more.Than also saint was not satisfied and asked him more than KULKARNI said " BABA I have 10 rs note with me". Than saint said " Give me the 10 rs". Took the 10 rs gave 9 rs and said "You thought to give 10 rs know.It is fulfilled" and went away.

  DAMU DOUBT IS CLARIFIED BY SAINATHA IN HIS UNIQUE WAY

Once while DAMU is in the Masjid,He questioned " BABA ! do all the devotees attain eternal bliss or happiness, even though they suffer from all the difficulties in the human life?!"

BABA smiled and replied " DAMYA ! All the mangoes in the mango tree will turn into fruits? some of them fell down while they are seeds,some of them fell after they turn into flowers. Some fell down as tender mangoes. We never know how many fruits will ripe in a mango tree.That all depends on our cultivation methods.In the same way a person attains peace in one life,Other may get yoga in his life,some other may get  success and complete knowledge in his life.That depends on our faith and discipline. DAMYA ! everything we experience depends only on karma.After our karma is fulfilled and we have devotion,definetly we will attain eternal bliss." DAMYA felt happy with the answer and prayed him.

WE SHOULD NOT BORROW MONEY FOR RELIGIOUS VISITS-SAI NATHA ADVICE

Once a devotee has a  desire to worship SAINATHA but has no sufficient money to travel SHIRDI.So he borrowed some money from his relatives and went to SHIRDI.He worshippped SAIBABA and prayed him.SAI NATHA blessed him gave prasadam and vibuthi and said " oye,If you want to worship me and see me if you just think of me and pray with more devotion, I will come to you only know!.why did you borrow money and came to SHIRDI to worship me?. Leave it for now.Never borrow money from others,to celebrate festivals,pooja occasions and to enjoy a holiday tours we should never borrow money from others."

He was surprised that BABA came to know about his loan and devotee prayed him and believed that he is a omniscient.Later he never borrowed money from others.He did devotional service with his money only.

CHAVADI FESTIVAL IN SHIRDI 

BABA lives in Masjid only,but sometimes he used to sleep in Chavadi and Masjid alternate days. From the 1909 yr Dec 10th onwards devotees started to perform pooja and Aarti in Chavadi also.All the devotees worship him by singing songs in the Masjid.While in the outside some devotees used to lit diyas,some of them decorate palanquin.Some devotees decorate his horse SHYAMKARNA and made him stand outside the Masjid.When BABA starts to Chavadi he wears his kafni,kanduva and holds his sataka and chilumu. He puts off the dhuni fire and diyas also.Devotees play music with all the instruments and lit different fireworks. All the men and women over there chant SAI NATHA and sing songs with full devotion and excitement, some used to dance in the excitement. When BABA comes outside the Masjid all the devotees shout with happiness and say " SHRI SAI NATHA MAHARAJ KI JAI".On either sides of BABA devotees hold Chamaram ie a fan to show the royalty. TATYA holds left hand of BABA, MAHALSAPATI holds right hand and BAPU SAHEB JOGU hold umbrella for SAINATHA as an ensign of royalty. Other devotees follow horse SHYAMKARNA and sing songs of BABA with all the music and worship in devotion.  

When they are nearby Chavadi, Everyone can observe some kind of brightness on BABA face which cannot be expressed in words and in that happiness MAHALSAPATI also danced some times. KAKA SAHEB worshiped him with flowers. Everyone reaches Chavadi with a happy environment.After they reach Chavadi,All the devotees put a crown on him,adorn him with some jewellery,garlands.Put a kasuri namam and look BABA with happiness.BABA used to look beautiful with the  bright face.He never likes all this but for his devotees happiness he accepted.

BAPU SAHEB JOGU cleans BABA feet in silver plate,apply sandal and give tambulam to him.Some of them used to put garlands and some used to give flowers to him.finally after pooja they used to give aarati.after aarati is completed everyone takes their blessings and prasadam from BABA and leave.TATYA also leaves after giving chilumu and other things. SAINATHA also arrange his bed with so many blankets and sleep on them.

Every day you make a habit of remembering CHAVADI festival before you sleep.It brings happiness and you ll be blessed.
